Bills vs Dolphins: Thursday, September 18th, 2025
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins Thursday night, to move to 3-0 on the season. It was no cake-walk for Buffalo as they needed a 4th Quarter interception from defensive captain Terrel Bernard before they could finally exhale and put the game on ice.
Despite giving up an opening drive touchdown, Buffalo looked in control early on Thursday. Following that score, the Bills seemingly settled in and marched down the field with a touchdown of their own before getting multiple defensive stops that put them in position to command the remainder of the matchup. The turning point came after Matt Prater missed a chip shot field goal that would’ve put Buffalo up 2 scores heading into halftime. Miami took advantage of that blunder, moved down the field and tied the game before halftime
The second half had a bit of a different vibe, with Miami getting multiple defensive stops that put their offense in position to score. Buffalo kept responding nonetheless and ultimately prevailed with the help from a huge roughing the punter call in the 4th that extended the bills drive and lead to the game winning score.
It was clear that Miami had come to play with the hopes of avoiding a dismal 0-3 start. They found wholes in the Bills secondary and got timely stops on defense. I dont think Buffalo played their best ball by any means but, they were resilient and got the job done on a short week against a divisional opponent.
They’ll look to keep their undefeated season alive next Sunday at home against the New Orleans Saints.
