Week 2 Recap:

The Bills looked absolutely dominant in week 2 against the New York Jets. I’d like to start by highlighting the success of the Defense who had lots of doubters (including myself) after a lackluster week 1 showing against Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the rest of the Baltimore Ravens offensive attack. Nonetheless, the boys got the job done in New Jersey.

Joey Bosa, led the charge on defense recording a sack, a tackle for a loss and two forced fumbles. After two weeks, he looks to be rejuvenated on this Bills defensive front and dare I say, having fun out there. He’s made his presence felt in opposing backfields in back to back weeks and especially on big downs. Bosa wasn’t the only factor on D though, the team played as a cohesive unit, and made an emphasis not to give up big plays. Christian Benford, Cole Bishop and the rest of the secondary all made plays when needed and limited the Jets to 154 yards of total offense.

On offense, the Bills picked up right where they left off. James Cook had himself a day on the ground, scoring twice, rushing 21 times for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns. 17 took a back seat to the action, doing exactly what was needed of him on big downs and in key moments. His 3rd down rush in the 1st quarter resulted in a 40 yard gain that set the team up for its first score of the day.

Overall, the Bills played the kind of complimentary football that Sean Mcdermott preaches about and will look to continue their undefeated start to the season on a short week back home against Miami.
